Abstract
The process of establishing correspondence between feature points is an integral part of dynamic image analysis. A robust new method to obtain correspondences between range data across image frames is presented. The method is based on the concept of elastic nets. Elastic nets are used to cast correspondence as an optimization problem. This formulation is then used to obtain approximations to the motion parameters under the assumption of rigidity. These parameters can be used to recover correspondence. Experimental results on synthesized data are presented
