Abstract :
For the requirements of real time and energy saving in wireless sensor networks, a data gathering algorithm (DGPA) in FEGASIS-clustered sensor networks is proposed. In DGPA, according to the divisible load theory, the data gathering tasks are distributed to every node based on the processing and communicating capacity of each node. By removing the communication interference between adjacent sensors, reduced makespan and improved network resource utilization are achieved. Analysis and simulation results show that the algorithm enables to reasonably distribute tasks to each node in the wireless sensor networks, and then effectively reduces the time-consuming and energy-consuming for task completion. In a large-scale wireless sensor networks, the makespan is reduced by 10%, and the energy consumption is reduced by 20% compared with DTAW.
