Abstract :
In this paper, a systematic study of large-scale production of anatase TiO2 nanosheetls with a large percentage of reactive (001) facets, using a simple titanium sources through solution reacting at 180-200°C, has been described. By altering the solution conditions, we have controlled the size and shape of anatase TiO2 nanocrystals with a large percentage of reactive (001) facets, and obtained various kinds of shapes such as: self-assembled nanoflowers and trapezoid nanoparticles etc. The simple method also provides ideal system for the further investigations for the photochemical properties of TiO2 surface with highly energy facets.
