Abstract :
Porous poly(ionic liquid)s based on copolymer of 1-allyl-3-methyimidazolium hexafluophosphate and acrylonitrile with 70:30 monomer ratio (PAMIH-AN) and Poly(Vinylbenzyl trimethylammonium tetrafluoroborate) (P[VBTMA][BF4]) were prepared and characterized for CO2 sorption. The effects of different pore-forming agents on the porous structure and CO2 sorption were discussed respectively. The CO2 sorption capacity of porous P[VBTMA][BF4] is apparently higher than that of PAMIH-AN. For example, porous P[VBTMA][BF4] treated with n-heptane as the pore-forming agent has the highest CO2 sorption capacity of 1.15 wt %, while the corresponding pore-forming agent of PAMIH-AN is toluene with 0.22 wt % at 273 K and 0.101 MPa.
