Abstract :
A new frequency and pattern reconfigurable antenna is proposed in this paper. Both frequency and pattern reconfigurations are effectively realized by using the microstrip double fed ports and four PIN diodes on the annular slot. At the low frequency band (1800MHz) and high frequency band(2400MHz), the antenna has four different patterns which are almost omnidirectional scanning and can be used to next generation wireless communication system. The measurement results are in good agreement with simulation results.
