Abstract :
Oxygen-enriched combustion in circulating fluidized bed (CFB) is a both technological and economical feasibly technology for carbon capture and storage. Therefore, in order to understand the coal combustion characteristics of oxygen-enriched combustion technology in CFB. The characteristics of coal combustion were analyzed by using the thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) under different reaction conditions of variant reactive atmosphere, heating rate and particle size. Results showed that the higher O2 concentration and heating rate can improve the characteristics of coal combustion in oxygen-enriched environments, while the opposite tendency is shown with the increasing of the particle size. The coal combustion kinetics was changed from a first-order reaction to second-order reaction when the the O2/CO2 increased to 40/60.
