Abstract :
This paper presents a new location-aware problem in BitTorrent-like P2P file transmission process, which has never been proposed clearly. The problem limits greatly the performance of P2P and consumes too many resources of the infrastructure. We present an ideal location-aware multi-source file transmission protocol and ameliorate the file transmission process. Then we design a project for the sake of improving the performance on location-aware BT-like network and reducing the cost of network operators without disturbing the downloading speed of peers
