Abstract :
Ship is modeled as an intelligent agent for collision avoidance simulation and studies in this paper. The ship intelligent agent (SIA) architecture is designed and seven basic units are proposed, they are perception unit, memory unit, communication unit, emotion unit, action unit, learning unit and thinking unit. Furthermore, the simulated environment model consisted by ship sailing environment and society environment, is also discussed.
