Abstract
The utilization of SPI to transfer data between integrated components in motion controller is presented. This SPI is designed to operate in different major data transfer mode such as continuous, burst and interleave compared to previously designed SPIs that are only able to perform continuous data transfer. The SPI is simulated using ModelSIM and implemented on Cyclone II FPGA chip using the ALTERA DE2- 70 board.
