Abstract :
A novel configuration and control method of the open winding permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) system with the integration of full controlled and uncontrolled converter is proposed in this paper, in which half the amount of controllable power switch is needed to achieve a multi-level operation performance. The active voltage space vector is modulated by controlled converter, which will be integrated with the voltage vector of uncontrolled converter to achieve the overall voltage space vector of open winding PMSG, The voltage modulation range of operation performance of open winding PMSG within the different dc-link voltage ratios is analyzed. Finally, the simulation model is built to validate the availability of the proposed open winding PMSG system.
