  • Abstract
    A single layer reflect-array antenna with rectangle ring element is proposed and designed in this paper. With the electromagnetic simulation software ansoft HFSS, the unit reflection phase characteristics have been analyzed, and more than 360 degrees reflection phase dynamic range has been achieved. According to the results, a 19 × 19 elements reflect-array covers an area of 30×30 cm2 is designed and measured. The reflect-array is offset fed by a linearly polarized pyramidal horn antenna. The plane reflection array has wide band, the high efficiency, and with simple structure easy to realize. The results show that the S11 of the reflect-array antenna is less than -15dB from 12.5 GHz to 14.5 GHz, and with the reflect-array, the gain of the reflect-array antenna has been improved about 6dB.
