  • Abstract
    This paper focuses on an overview of the degrees available in Electrical and Information Engineering (EIE) throughout Europe. This overview has been done under the frame of the THEIERE project and together with an observatory on the implementation of the Bologna process in these fields. The aim of the study is for the partners of the projects, and then, other colleagues in Europe, to obtain a better understanding on the available curricula and HE structures in Europe, in EIE. Some parts of this reflection are presented and discussed in the paper. The second aim is to help in the definition of a common frame for bachelors and masters in our discipline, in the frame of the Bologna-RMD process. The main results are a monograph, available as a book or as a CD-ROM, and a Web site, containing a research engine. The monograph is a book presenting the curricula available throughout Europe in Electrical and Information Engineering, and a reflection on the implementation of the HMD process in our disciplines. The Website is available for students who want to find curricula abroad, or for colleagues who want to find partners for international collaborations.
