  • Abstract
Work queue with Replication (WQR) based replication workflow scheduling uses redundant tasks execution to circumvent the performance penalities of possible bad mappings of tasks to resources. In terms of the characteristics of the specific workflow applications by only considering the control dependency among the inter-dependent tasks, a new replication strategy based on WQR for scheduling and executing workflow applications on Grid resources is introduced, and then the strategy is experimented by GridSim in the context of executing a special workflow case. The performance is evaluated in terms of the make span and the wasting level of resource.
