Abstract
The use of a non-cooperative code division multiple access (CDMA) transmitter as the illuminator for a bi-static radar system is investigated. A signal-processing scheme is developed to detect moving targets. This scheme uses the Doppler shift of targets echoes to estimate the targets´ speed and time delay. The system contains two separate but collocated receivers where Doppler and cross-correlation processing is applied to the direct path and target signal path. We implement the cross-correlation processing using fast Fourier transform (FFT) instead of direct integration.
