Abstract
The author proposes an audio-visual software requirements definition method including an audio-visual software requirements specification (AVSRS) with an audio-visual requirements language and executing SRSs. The method proposed provides a describer for defining both the shape and semantics of icons to specify the requirements. The method also provides for describing icon movements as a scenario description and for specifying sounds in the icon movements. This scenario enables an execution of the SRS with animation. The describer can confirm his requirements by checking the animation. Furthermore, the author describes a supporting method of visual software requirements definition by multiple developers via a network system. A visual requirements language named VRDL and tools are illustrated with examples. The audio-visual requirements specification method improves the understandability of an SRS, the ease of writing the SRS and the correctness of the SRS. This method also supports a co-operative software requirements definition
