  • Abstract
The problem of developing a formal knowledge representation system for communicating information about legal events is considered. This system is to be based on the use of the object metaphor embodied in Smalltalk-80. A litigation event database, which is the necessary precursor to building and validating a litigation event knowledge representation schema, has been developed
