Abstract :
Intersymbol interference (ISl) of the radio propagation through multipath fading channels is a major factor that limits the performance of mobile communication systems. The decision feedback equalization (DFE) and maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) are two major methods for channel equalization used in GSM systems. We propose a new method based on Hammerstein filter instead of DFE filters for enhancing the performance of DFE, hence, HDFE. In this paper, we show the bit error rate (BER) performance of DFE. In order to provide the superiority of HDFE, and also, we compare the delay order of three methods.
