Abstract
Based on representative measurements in real environments, appropriate standard tests for the uniform time and error assessment of industrial wireless solutions are presented. These standard tests consider different industrial application profiles. After choosing relevant performance parameters we propose the performance classes A, B, and C with additional information concerning the total and time-dependent availability. This enables manufacturers and customers to develop and select an optimal wireless solution for specific application areas.
