Abstract :
Shielding effected by a lightning protection system (LPS) during a direct lightning strike is analyzed. Reduction of electric and magnetic fields within a zone surrounded by a LPS has been evaluated using the method of moments in the frequency domain. The time-domain waveforms have been obtained by the DFT. The results are compared to the formulas presented in 1EC/TS 61312-2.
