Abstract :
To achieve more effective and diverse services in emerging communication environment, the Internet has to provide more advanced capabilities; e.g., changing access terminals used for communication without disconnection is desirable. However, the current Internet architecture cannot realize such flexible communication. Therefore, a new network architecture concept has been proposed to enable flexible communication including dynamically changing access terminals during communication. Although this concept enables session migration, connection control methods are also needed to achieve effective migration. In this paper, we propose two kinds of connection control methods for session migration between access terminals. Furthermore, we evaluate the performance of the proposed methods through simulations and discuss a suitable connection control technique for session migration.
