Abstract
This work presents recent studies, concerning non linear optical properties of chalcogenide glasses. Second and third order properties are presented, on bulk glasses and in fibers. Chalcogenide glasses are based on sulfur, selenium, tellurium and the addition of other elements such as arsenic germanium, antimony gallium, etc. The interest of chalcogenide glasses is to associate high non linear properties with their infrared transmission from 0.5 - 1 μm to 12 - 18 μm depending on the composition.
