Abstract :
Because of the strong magnetic field of the PIG in magnetic flux type NDT system, the object itself is magnetized and shows the hysteresis characteristics during the sensing which might cause the distortion of the defect signals. In this paper, the magnetizations of the pipeline in MFL type NDT are analyzed, and the methods are developed to compensate the distorted signals according to the magnetic hysteresis of the pipeline
