  • Abstract
The performance of hydraulic system plays an important role in roller mill. The hydraulic system was regarded as a vibration system with a single degree-of-freedom and the differential equation of roller was derived on the basis of the analysis of piston movement. It was found that the dynamic performance is affected by the damping ration, which depends on the performance of the hydraulic oil and the cross-section of the hydraulic tube, and the stiffness which is influenced by the pressure and the volume of accumulator. The damping ratio has a great effect on the response amplitude and the force-delivering ratio, but the stiffness only affects the response amplitude. The simulation on the hydraulic system of a roller mill designed to crush limestone was performed using Matlab. The result has shown that the system reached the steady state in 2s when step excitation was applied and in 1s when impulse excitation was applied.
