Abstract
This device was designed as a fluorescence analyzer for the detection of toxic substances due to (bio)chemical reaction that changes fluorescence emission after light excitation. Fluorescence substance is applied to the end of an optical fibre which is connected to the device. Optical method is also used for their noise tolerance and the ability to transfer signals over long distances with only minimal losses of signal. It predestines the device to be used for measurements in deep wells with drinking water.
