Abstract :
We present the first adaptive silicone membrane lens with an integrated piezoelectric actuator. The system consists of two components, lens (5 mm diameter) and actuator (15 mm diameter). Both components are cast in a hot embossing machine to ensure a reliable and cheap fabrication. At a voltage variation of 55 V we obtain a focal length between 30 and 500 mm. Furthermore the lens shows a maximum resolution of 100 line pairs per millimeter at a focal length of 100 mm.
