Abstract
Summary form only given. We first show that, under normal conditions of operation for degenerate optical parametric oscillators (DOPOs) in two transverse dimensions, domain walls disappear after fast transients. The time evolution of diffractive domain walls in the signal field of a DOPO at resonance and under the action of a top-hat pump is presented. The dynamics of domain walls in two dimensions is governed by the local curvature in a way similar to diffusive walls in quenched phase separation.
