Abstract
The first stage in any machine design process requires the exercise of much heuristic to select a machine more suitable to a set of specifications. A second stage, in which the actual design process is actually focused, tunes the dimensions of a selected machine. To date, the development of a complete environment with both stages being automated remains to be done. In this paper, the implementation of a fully automated environment for transformer design is presented. The rationale for such a system, its architectural design procedure and the approach taken in constructing such a system for practical application are described
