  • Abstract
    Parasitic resistance existing in battery detection process is a key factor which affects on-line battery detection accuracy and rate, therefore how to eliminate influence of parasitic resistance on on-line battery detection accuracy and rate is discussed in this paper. A measurement technique based on constant-current source and four-terminal measurement is put forwards to overcome the shortcomings of current on-line battery detection technique, such as slow detection rate and low detection accuracy caused by parasitic resistance, and the hardware implementation of this detection scheme is described in detail. Experimental data analysis demonstrated that the detection technology had eliminated effect of parasitic resistance on on-line battery detection accuracy and rate. The detection technology had remarkably improved the detection accuracy and rate, and requirements of battery manufacturers are met on on-line battery detection accuracy and rate. This detection technology not only provides a method to improve on-line battery detection accuracy and rate, but also offers a new theoretical method to measure short-circuit current of battery accurately.
