Abstract :
The paper presents a procedure for fault feeder detection in distribution power systems, based on the use of the amplitude-time and argument-time by S-transform of the zero-module bus voltage and two phase currents transients associated with the fault-originated traveling waves. The analysis carried out shows that the argument of currents have difference 180° between fault feeder and sound feeders at fault-originated which make fault feeder detectible. A large number of simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the procedure.
