Abstract
In this article we entertain a very simple but pragmatic and powerful notion of knowledge and knowledge management (KM). We show how a new generation of automation platforms can be used to achieve KM in one of the most artisan form of the professional services organizations, namely the legal firms. We discuss the work as well as the analysis, design and implementation phases in the context of a case study done in Pellerano & Herrera Attorneys at Law, a legal firm with more than 50 years of law practice and the leaders in its market.
