Abstract
This paper describes the overall theory and architecture used in integrating the M777 A1/A2 digital fire control system´s automated troubleshooting into its interactive electronic technical manual. By incorporating the diagnostic software into the technical manual we were able to create a synergy that allowed for many advantages over stand alone applications. However, accomplishing this task required some ingenuity and the exploitation of some of the features available in the IETM viewer.
