Abstract
A microstructured fiber based surface plasmon resonance sensor with a high sensitivity of 4500 nm/RIU was proposed using an analyte-filled core instead of an air-filled core. Higher signal to noise ratio and narrower resonance spectral width were demonstrated and a better performance over the whole sensing range can be achieved.
