Abstract
We propose and experimentally demonstrated a simple scheme to generate and modulate 2.5 Gbps ultra-wideband (UWB) pulse trains directly from non-return-to-zero data using one electro-optic phase modulator and a polarization based asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer.
