Abstract :
The reported RCVCO circuit simultaneously generates dual frequency band with the user having an option of choosing a multiple distinct frequency or combination of them that eliminate the need of lossy switches for switching the frequency band, thereby improves the system throughput. The measured phase noise for band#l (2450-2650 MHz) and band#2 (4850-5250 MHz) are typically better than -108 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset from the carrier, and the topology is amenable for integration in integrated circuit (IC) form.
