Abstract :
A novel STPCR (stubs -tuned planar coupled resonators) VCO (voltage controlled oscillator) is proposed that is integrable and cost-effective alternative for expensive DRO (dielectric resonator oscillator) circuit. The measured phase noise for carrier frequency 9.2 GHz is typically -150 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset with 9.28 % DC -to-RF conversion efficiency.
