Abstract :
The ultra high voltage (UHV) AC power transmission is introduced. The paper demonstrates the feasibility and necessity of the development of the ultra high AC power transmission in China. The operation of UHV AC power transmission test and demonstration project is summarized. The impact of developing UHV power transmission on East China is described. Prospect of UHV system is done in the end.
