  • Abstract
    The compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) were imposed throughout the word as a symbol of electrical efficiency. But these lamps present problems well known by consumers. Furthermore, there are many myths related to its potential hazards to the human health. The consumer perspective was never considered because there are many international standards that support the use of this type of lamps.
