  • Abstract
In this research project of the ancient city wall of Ming dynasty which was built from 1366 to 1368, we want to explore the new method of the preservation of the history information by using the virtual reality and network techniques. First we would introduce the history value of the ancient capital city wall of Nanjing. Then we would represent the reconstructed modeling of the characterized parts of the city wall and the Zhonghua city gate in VR environment. In the third part of the paper, we would discuss the reason and the emphases of the integrated information system of the ancient city wall on Internet. Finally, we would review the difficulty and problems in the process of the research and our next steps to improve our system in the future
