Abstract
A new method for bandwidth enhancement of the Wilkinson power divider is proposed. To achieve this purpose, we added a stub and a transmission line to the traditional Wilkinson power divider structure. Compared with the former structure, the addition of stub and transmission line did not leave a significant change on the first structure and just the length of lambda/4 increased to about (lambda/4+0.08lambda). The results show that the bandwidth of the S11 and S12 of the new design is 2 times as wide as the traditional design. Moreover, the bandwidth of the S22, S33 and S23 of the new design is some 4 times as wide as the traditional design.
