Abstract :
Next-generation gaming systems enable users to interact with the consoles without the need to touch a game controller. To achieve a more interesting game for two players, we present an interactive boxing game system using motion sensing and analysis. Our system can be described in twofold: (1) Hardware structure, and (2) Software flowchart, which integrate image and video processing techniques for motion analysis and special effects. Our gaming system has been demonstrated in a public exhibition, and played by over a thousand people. In summary, we have implemented a functional gaming system which largely enhances the players´ gaming experience and interaction.
