  • Abstract
    As the foundation of line loss management job, it is necessary to be researched deeply. At this stage, for low voltage distribution network loss calculation, mainly concentration was focused on the accuracy of the theoretical calculation basing the existing system parameters. As the simplicity of equivalent resistance method, it had a wide range of applications. But the influence of the line loss caused by the nonlinear load was not been considered, In this paper, the impact caused by the skin effect is illustrated firstly, then, the equivalent resistance method upon the skin effect is derived. Finally a line loss calculation example for a low voltage transformer area is presented, and the results verify the effectiveness of the method.
