Abstract
This paper presents the practical experiences on methodology, management, schedule control and safety of the system integration on the Taipei MRT system. After all of the electrical and mechanical subsystems are installed, the system integration is to be performed. The system integration, which comprises of static, dynamic, commissioning, overall of respective integrated testing and revenue service simulation as well as the running test, are reported in this paper. The E&M system consists of electric multiple units, signaling, power supply, communication, automatic fare collection system and depot and workshop equipment system. The interface of these integrating tests is complicated and troublesome. Therefore, the consolidation of the test of each E&M subsystem has to meet the contract specification, requirement criteria and to reach the revenue service on scheduled target. The automatic train running system must achieve the levels of maintainability and reliability specified in contract
