Abstract
Stringent requirements on the Tx driver return loss and jitter necessitate architectural changes to conventional Tx drivers. This paper introduces a highspeed transmitter using an SST Tx driver with very low supply sensitivity and low jitter operating at 15Gbps. New techniques are introduced to improve driver jitter, termination calibration, and to minimize the self generated supply noise of the driver.
