Abstract :
A test and detection system is developed to measure partial discharge in this paper. A physical defect model is designed to simulate the phenomenon of partial discharge in the insulation of high-voltage electrical equipment. Anti-interference analysis is achieved by using the wavelet analysis to remove the noise in the original PD signals. Law of the phase , frequency and energy distribution and the mutual influence between the adjacent pulses are acquired by studying various two-dimensional PD spectrums . The three-dimensional meshes and the contour map of the low-energy pulses are drawn to reveal the distribution of the different types of PD pulses and the impact to the breakdown of the insulation. Experiment shows that the system can effectively detect the PD signals and is very practical. Moreover, the study of partial discharge characteristics can become a theory and test reference to PD recognition and insulation evaluation.
