Abstract :
A novel wideband antenna is presented in this paper. It has a lot of merits, such as small size, low-profile and simple structure. The proposed antenna is simulated by the full-wave electromagnetic simulator HFSS. From the results of the simulation, it is known that the proposed antenna exhibits favorable wideband characteristic and the S11 is less than -10dB in the range of 2.42GHz ~4.5GHz. And by loading a slot on the radiation patch, the operation bandwidth is changed to 2.28GHz~2.76GHz, which covers the entire band of IEEE 802.11b and can be determined as a useful candidate for application.
