Abstract :
A new simple design of imaging spectrometer composed of a convex grating was described. It was shown that, at an annular field in the system, the third-order and fifth-order aberration was perfect balanced. A simple equation for designing this system with the least distortion at the annular field was proposed. This kind of spectrometer was very simple and easy to be miniaturized and lightened. The theoretical results were in good agreement with the experiment.
