  • Abstract
With the development of the Internet, Web advertisements are increasingly used for illegal purposes such as propagating malware, scamming, click frauds etc. To detect these attacks, according to the characteristics of the malicious advertising attacks, we propose a detection scheme based on the depth of the URL strategy. Our scheme builds on the basis of Nutch and Modsecurity, which they are the famous open source software. By improving the Nutch we can obtain all suspicious URL from the website, then improve the Modsecurity response filtering part and deploy in the client to filter the suspicious response. We put this scheme compared with 360 secured browser in detecting malicious advertising, which is an effective tool to detect malicious advertising attacks for the Chinese website. The results show that this scheme is more effective in detecting malvertising cases.
