  • Abstract
SIP-based attacks Detection and prevention has become a difficult problem in a security research on the next-generation network. In the paper, we investigate the damage caused by the SIP attacks and analyze the root reasons why SIP attacks take place. After that, we make a survey on the new solutions against SIP-base attacks, which mainly includes 1) SIP malformed message and message tampering attacks; 2) SIP message flow attacks; 3) SIP flooding attacks; 4) SPIT attacks; 5) SPIM attacks. We analyze the advantages and disadvantages of SIP-based attacks detection and prevention, and conclude its evaluation criteria. Finally, we discuss possible future research on the SIP-based attacks detection and prevention.
