Abstract :
Based on TM data of DongGuan, Referencing to the national land classification standards, we divided the land use of DongGuan into four types: water, green land, bared land and building land. In improving the accuracy of classification data, based on the analysis capabilities of GIS and scale theory, in Quantitative scale, we have analyzed the characteristics of landscape pattern changes and Grain size effects a series size in 30,60,90 ... 450m of DongGuan City. The result shows that: The effects of changing grain size on landscape metrics play an important role in landscape pattern analysis, being one of the important and key issues in landscape ecology. The resulted showed that the responses of landscape metrics to changing grain size had obvious grain effect s and scale turning points. From the analysis, the grain range from 60m to 90m was taken as the first scale domain which was regarded as a better choice for the appropriate grain size of DongGuan1.
