Abstract :
A two-channel superbroadband frequency converter was developed to convert 1.5-40 GHz microwave range signals into 0.3-500 MHz intermediate frequency (IF) range signals. The converter is a modular-type instrument manufactured to meet VXI standard requirements. The converter in conjunction with the corresponding LF devices effectively extends the frequency range up to 40 GHz of the following radio-measuring instruments: spectrum analyzers, frequency meters, sampling oscilloscopes, amplitude/phase meters, network analyzers, power meters and so on
